The Saber Team sat down with Isaac from GG Roofers and asked him to tell us what one needs to know before deciding how to fix (or build) a roof. It was a fascinating conversation that covers some of the most common questions regarding roofing.
GG Roofers is located in Great Neck, not far from the Saber Team headquarters, and has been fixing the roofs in Great Neck and Glen Head for over 10 years.
Isaac can be reached by phone at (910) 447-6637. He welcomes potential clients to call him up to discuss their plans with him.
The pricing of a roof varies drastically, and without know some of the important factors, it will usually be impossible to determine.
Here are some of the questions that GG Roofers will typically ask before giving a quote:
GG Roofers always encourages people to call them up and request a quote. They are always available and they pride themselves on their high-level customer service.
Every 25-30 years, replace your asphalt roof. In New York, due to the poor weather, we believe that every roof should be replaced or serviced every 15-20 years.
Slate roofing lasts longer. Slate roofing needs to be replaced every 50 years or so.
The average roofing company usually charges between $150-$200 for a quote. GG Roofers provides FREE quotes for every job. If you need a quote, a representative from GG Roofers will come to your house and inspect your roof at no extra cost.
A standard house will take 1-2 days to get an asphalt roof. A slate roof will take longer, and will usually take between 4-6 days.
The cheapest option will usually be three-tap-asphalt shingles. We always suggest architecture-design-asphalt shingles. They are almost the same price, but they are much thicker and come with a longer manufacturer warranty. Marquise-asphalt shingles are more expensive than the architecture design shingles, but they retain the characteristic three-tap shingle design, without compromising the quality and warranty.
Synthetic slate roofing lasts the longest but is typically three times more expensive than typical asphalt shingles. The synthetic shingles replaced the old style slate roofing and will last up to 100 years, and will also come with a 50-year warranty.
